COMPETITION: "FIRE"

The competition, the heart of Fumetto since day one, is becoming more and international, receiving record numbers of participants each year. Fumetto also continues to function as an encouragement-type exhibition, allowing young, up and coming artists the chance to compare their work in public and also to exchange views amongst themselves.

The Exhibition
The nominated works will be displayed during the festival along with the non-competitive pieces. During the exhibition the public will have the chance to vote for the "People's Choice" award.

Prize/ Award Presentation
The awards night will take place on Saturday 20 April at 7pm in the Hirschengraben- Aula, Hirschengraben 10. All nominated artists will be invited, and the jury will announce the winners. The presenter for the evening will be Claudio Brentini. A complimentary apéro will follow the night's proceedings.

Major Prizes
  • Cat. 1 (18 years and older): 1500.- SFR
  • Cat. 2 (13 to 17 years): "Analph Prize"
  • Cat. 3 (12 years & under): "Migros Prize"
  • Scenario Prize - for the best story from all categories, awarded by "Edition Moderne", Zürich.
  • People's Choice award- "Neue Luzerner Zeitung", winners published in the local newspaper.
Cash prizes to the value of 5000. - SFR + Supplementary prizes to the same value.
