Michelangelo Setola is one of the most talented artists in European comics. The Italians first album will be released in the Edition Fumetto series. “Bar Miki” is a penetrating story of yearning and fear. Setola tells (in beautiful black & white pictures) how reality slips away from a metalworker who becomes lost in the conflicts of the world. In doing so, the artist opens up a fascinating, completely different universe which somehow reflects the absurdities of the world. Michelangelo Setola won first prize at the 2006 Fumetto competition and has had publications in various magazines including Canicola, Strapazin, Black and Glömp. This year’s Fumetto exhibition will include some of the artist’s originals plus many of his early pieces, which will be seen for the very first time.
