This year's competition theme: You+Me=Us

Each year, Fumetto – International Comix-Festival Lucerne holds a competition to give comic creators the opportunity to compare their work, present it to a broader public and to exchange views with others. The competition’s theme this year is You+Me=Us.- Between You and Me there‘s a difference, but a lot of things connect Us, both of Us live here. Especially in a globalised world cultural diversity needs to be perceived as an opportunity. This can only be achieved if as many people as possible from different parts of the world develop an understanding for each other and foreign cultures. The Mercator Foundation Switzerland is committed to breaking down social barriers and enabling mutual respect and tolerance.
